Close Call

Well, that was a close call! My blog — this one — almost went away. I am grateful to whoever was behind the decision to restore it.

I do a lot of writing and much of it is private, in a journal used mainly to process and reflect on what I'm thinking. In other words, I rant to blow off enough steam there and get on with my day.

I do like to share what's on my mind with an audience on occasion, though, and — for about twenty-one years now — this modest space has provided a place for me to do that.

Of course, there are other places to post public writing. Places where my words would get way more traffic and traction. I am relatively content with smallness, though. Even if only one or two, perhaps three people read it, that's okay. Nothing earth-shattering is going on here and you'd be just fine skipping over my meandering "thoughts about life and other mysteries," which is the title I gave the blog, way back when.

But you didn't. Today, you're here and I'm grateful. That's all for now.
